I treat a full-range of anxiety disorders including post-traumatic stress (PTSD), obsessive-compulsive disorder, phobias, hoarding, agoraphobia and panic disorders.  I have extensive experience working with addiction.  This includes chemical and behavioral addictions.  Chemical addictions are substance addictions such as drugs or alcohol while behavioral addictions include sex addiction, shopping, gambling and self-harm.  I also work extensively with people with problems emotional regulation problems such as clients diagnosed with borderline personality disorder (BPD) or bipolar disorder.  

 

Training and Experience

I am trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and will provide a DBT informed treatment model which includes individual counseling, skills training, phone coaching and therapist participation in a weekly peer consult group.  I am also  trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).

 

As a therapist, I have been counseling adults for over eight years. During that time, I worked primarily in community behavioral health. The majority of his time was spent as member of the DBT program at MARC Community Resource Center in Arizona.  I worked with substance abuse, general mental health and the seriously mentally ill population.

 

I have extensive experience working with individuals, couples and families.  My experience includes helping clients through custody, marital and legal difficulties.  In my work, I have been called upon to interact with, Child Protective Services (CPS), the criminal justice system and testify in civil legal matters.
